Admission Procedures
A prospective student must come to the school to fill out an application. Each prospective student is given a catalog and consumer information. If applicable, they are sent to the Financial Aid Office to determine any eligibility for Title IV assistance. Old Town Barber College only enrolls students that visit the school in person.
Financial Aid
Old Town Barber College has a program of Financial Aid which is available to those who qualify. The school is eligible for the following programs: Veteran Education Benefits, Federal Pell Grant, Direct Subsidized Loans, Direct Unsubsidized Loans, Direct PLUS Loans. Depending on the student's need, a package of financial aid can be arranged to meet the student's educational expenses. A full-time financial aid officer is available during the designated hours of operation to assist any prospective student in determining their financial need.
Class Schedules
New classes begin every month. The College offers both day and evening session:
- Day Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 2:30pm
- Evening Hours: Monday - Thursday: 2:30pm - 9:00pm
Friday: 2:30pm - 7:00pm
All students are also required to attend alternating Saturdays from 8:00am - 4:00pm. Holidays are New Years Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day, Independence Day and Christmas Day. No hours are given for holidays.
College Credit
By completeing your Barbering program and gaining your license to practice by the Kansas State Board of Barbering, you may receive college credit towards an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree.
